When I was in 4-H we sewed, raised animals, canned vegetables, etc. Do they still do that?

Yes, 4-H members still engage in a number of 4-H projects like cooking, sewing, and raising an animal to show at a fair. The difference is now sewing projects contain activities on new fibers, fabric care, and consumerism. Cooking projects include food safety, nutrition, and science experiments. Animal projects are mainly horse related, service or companion animals, instead of production. Added to the list of projects are projects like rocketry, computers, and robotics. To see what projects are available in Pinellas County click on the project guide pdf attached. The links will take you to the state and national selection of projects.
