Does my home need to be certified to have a 4-H Club meeting there?

We do not have an official meeting place certification process. However, before you hold a meeting with your youth anywhere there are a few things to consider.

  • First, is the meeting place safe? Is it free from trip and fall hazards, is there anything obvious the youth could hurt themselves on, and are all pets either in another room or adequately socialized for groups?
  • Second, is there enough lighting for the youth to see what they are doing?
  • And third, is there enough seating for all of your youth to be comfortable? There are many organizations, such as libraries, community centers, and churches that will allow you to use their space for free.
