Eco-Friendly, as well as eco-smart, eco-healthy, etc. refers to products and practices that are not harmful to the environment. The root, Eco- is from the Greek ‘oikos’ which means house. Therefore words like ecology, ecosystem, ecotype, etc. are involved with the “house” that all of us share: the natural environment.
