How were the criteria developed for the Green Local Government Standard?

The Florida Green Local Government Standard was created under a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy and the Florida Energy Office. The Florida Solar Energy Center worked with the Florida Green Building Coalition, Miami Dade County, Sarasota County, Alachua County, and the City of Orlando to design the criteria for the Standard. Currently, the Florida Green Building Coalition oversees the certification program.
