The Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC) established the Green Local Government Standard to designate Green Cities and Green Counties for outstanding environmental stewardship. The standard includes a list of criteria focused on improving environmental performance through an evaluation of the local government’s management of energy, water, air, land, and waste.
