How can I make a healthier burger?

grilling meats.jpgAdd flavor and moisture to lean burgers by incorporating other ingredients. Low-fat cheese, wild rice and barbecue sauce are great options.
Mix seasonings into the meat. Don’t just sprinkle your formed burgers with salt and pepper, add a variety of herbs, spices and chilies right into the burger mixture.
Add a leaner, neutral-tasting meat like ground turkey breast to a fattier cut to reduce saturated fat and cholesterol.
Get creative and more fruits and veggies to your meal by adding olives, capers, peppers, shredded carrots, blueberries, etc. to your burger mixture.
