The label on my yogurt says one cup supplies 30% of the Daily Value for calcium. How much calcium is that?

girl eating yogurt.jpgA one cup serving of yogurt usually contains 300 milligrams of calcium. The Daily Value for calcium is based 1,000 milligrams. While the RDAs (recommended dietary allowances) vary by age and sex for calcium and other nutrients, the Daily Value is a single number, simplified for use on a food label.
