Rice contains a lot of starch that is released into the cooking water when boiled. Here are some tips to make rice that is light a fluffy.
Rinse the rice in a collander under running water until the water runs clear. Then, briefly saute' the rice in a small amount of butter or oil before adding water. Once the rice is boiled in water, remove it from the pan using a fork and spread onto a cookie sheet.
