Youth, ages 5-18, can be 4-H members and enroll in many different 4-H projects. Youth, ages 5-7, can be 4-H Cloverbud members.  Members 8-18 may exhibit their completed work to be judged for awards. .

To enroll in 4-H your child needs to be 5 by September 1st.  If your child turns 5 on September 1st, they will be eligible to join. If your child’s birthday is after September 1st, they will have to wait a year before they can join.  There are some activities which, for your child’s safety, he/she will not be allowed to participate until they are 8 by September 1st.
